BEFORE IMMUNITY
While PRO 424’s last album Immune portrayed a dystopic future, Before Immunity is the prequel telling the story of an utopic society heading for an inevitable catastrophe. To make the art reflect the music we gathered inspiration from the futuristic art movement from the 20s and 30s, who also portrayed a rapidly evolving society heading for disaster. We made a futuristic city with the PRO424 trademark character, the mannequin, running in the foreground. Maybe it’s swept up by progress, maybe it’s trying to run away.
The decision to use pencils, crayons and other traditional material rich in texture provides a contrast to most other techno albums, but corresponds to the harmonic tone of the album. We made illustrations and designed the sleeve, labels and a poster with room for temporary information.
